Advocating for minimum wage in Cambodia

The Global Network Cambodian member CWMO took part in the legal strike organised by the Cambodian National Labor Confederation (CNC) and other union federations on mid-September. The strike was convened to demand the renegotiation of the minimum wage for workers in the garment and footwear industry: $93 a month against $61 a month. About 200,000 Cambodian textile workers - mainly women - participated in the strike.
